Ellison is O-N-E

Like every other parent on the face of the planet I truly cannot believe how quickly our first year with Ellison has flown by. Sure, thinking back to the early days, and every hard day in between, it also seems like some periods were eternities, but in hindsight the year was a mere blink.

To mark the occasion, we had a little celebration with some friends at the park, but on her actual birthday we celebrated as a family of three with a giant pink balloon and a homemade smash cake on the roof of our building. It was sticky and messy and everything a first birthday should be.
