Carry-on Survival Kit
I’m not sure anyone loves red-eye or long haul flights, however, they do make the most of your time. I prefer to think of them as a necessary evil in the world of travel. And while I am not sure I will ever be a “good plane sleeper”, I’ve found having a well-stocked carry-on kit helps to minimize the torture of attempting to catch a wink of sleep sitting at nearly 90 degrees in a cabin that is somehow either sweltering or freezing.
Here are the mainstays of my carry-on kit.
MZWallace Pouch (large)
Canvas pouches
Back up battery/chargers
iPods
Kindle
Individually wrapped face wipes & hand wipes
Hand & face lotion
Toothbrush & mini toothpaste
Aquaphor
Eye mask (this one is a game changer!)
Snacks & water
Advil/Tylenol/Dramamine (this pill organizer really helps save space)
Gum
Neck pillow* optional (I am not a fan, but I know many are)
