February Favorites
Fashion:
Have you tried Sarah Flint shoes yet? I am obsessed with the tortoise heels on this wear-all-day pair and this slightly higher heeled pair with a great vintage vibe which I have and are shockingly comfortable. Here is a code to get $50 off your first purchase.
Le Parmentier is a new-to-me handbag brand and I am swooning over this classic top handle satchel that is a super close and way more affordable dupe for the Tory Burch Lee bag that I’ve had my eye on for ages.
Lively is another great direct-to-consumer brand that I’ve tested lately. Their underthings are as comfortable as they are stylish so if you’re in need of some new lacy or comfy pieces (or both!) give them a try! You can get $10 off your first order with this link or using code: AMB-Danaecgf
Fun Finds:
The Wall Street Journal recently rounded up their favorite handheld steamers and having recently ditched my perpetually ignored iron I am definitely in the market for one. This and this were their top picks. I think I am going to order this version as it's more compact and when it comes to apartment living that goes a long way.
I ordered a pair of these warm/cold tumblers a while back as a in the summer we often like to take an aperitivo for a walk along the waterfront (shhh!) but when the season ended they were relegated to the back of the cabinet until a recent kitchen clean out turned them up. In the colder months I’ve been loving them to keep my morning coffee or matcha warm longer and the spill guard is a nice addition when lounging in bed with your morning beverage. This Yeti tumbler isn’t quite as sleek looking but does have a handle and comes in some great colors.
File this one in the category of miscellaneous purchases made in the interest of saving time, I succumbed to the hype around the Revlon hair wrap which promises to dry and style your hair in one. I’ve only been using it for a week and I can safely say the hype is true. You can take ⅔ dry hair (and at that stage mine is a wavy, frizzy mess) and have a sleek blow out in no time. I will say it is rather bulky to maneuver and the barrel is quite large so I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with hair shorter than mine, but mine is pretty short.
Sad desk lunches be gone with this super chic ceramic food container from Porter.
These $15 sunnies look surprisingly expensive and have a great shape I’m waiting for them to arrive to see how the quality is. I don’t like spending a lot on sunglasses as they inevitably get broken or lost but I don’t care for flimsy ones either.
Maison Louis Marie candles are the perfect way to bright up a dreary mid-winter afternoon and the scents are really lovely.
Wellness:
I want to try just about everything on Healthish’s Feel Good Food plan. The cauliflower tacos and turmeric salmon in particular look delicious.
Art/Design:
Ahead of Valentine’s Day I found this article about the most evocative paintings of love a fresh, new take on the spirit of the day.
Revival rugs caught my eye as well with their stylish designs and claims of hassle free shipping/returns. I don’t need any rugs right now but will definitely check them out when I do.
Read/Watch:
I just finished The Indigo Girl by Natasha Boyd and it was a delightful rendering of a very spunky real-life figure in South Carolina history.
Fellow Jane Austen fans, have you seen the trailer for the latest adaptation of Emma?
