Travel Guide: Gavi, Italy
Day 4:
After breakfast we packed up and left Sanremo, heading to
in Piedmont. I love Gavi wines and when looking for someplace nearby to go for another night or two on the trip I randomly stumbled across the
which happens to be a restaurant and hotel on the outskirts of the town of Gavi.
Everything about the hotel was truly fantastic. It was so welcoming and low key, I honestly wanted to move in and never leave. After arriving, (note: the road to get there is a bit treacherous) we spent the afternoon wandering the property, taking a nap in a hammock (see photo evidence below - PS I've decided this needs to become a regular thing), enjoying
in the garden and a delicious dinner at the hotel's restaurant
.
I've found my happy place....
Day 5:
Gavi is conveniently located a few minutes from the
, so after checking out, we headed there for a bit of shopping. After we headed into Milan for lunch and then headed back to the airport where we were staying overnight before our flight home. One tip: there are no gas stations at the Milan airport so be sure to get gas before you return your rental car!
