Travel Guide: Miami

I'll be sharing a couple of outfits from Miami this week, but if I had a "perfect" wardrobe, this is what I would have packed for dinner out.

{Eat & Drink}

Cleo

, all around this was a fantastic meal

Java & Juice

The Broken Shaker

, awesome cocktails, fun atmosphere, great service

Twenty Seven

, try the daily catch curry!

Pura Vida

We stayed at the newly opened

Edition

in Miami Beach. I really don't like to give a place that recently opened a negative review, but this hotel missed the mark on multiple levels. Top offender: the service. Not once did we have would I would consider to be five star service. In fact the entire staff seemed to have a bit of an attitude, which is unfortunate, because the hotel is stunning. Hands down one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in, and exactly my idea of what a Miami Beach hotel should look like. Also on the not so great list, no coffeemaker/service in the room, which is

a bit

very annoying, especially as you therefore had to pay for it at the cafe in the lobby. And our bill was wrong, very wrong. Not sure I'd go back, but definitely worth a walk through the lobby and possibly a drink at the bar, though we didn't have one, so I can't attest to that.

{loved the wallpaper in the closets!}

{See & Do}

Perez Art Museum (PAMM)

, don't miss

the swings out back

!

South Beach

Espanola Way

Wynwood, we didnt make it on this trip, but I definitely want to check it out next time

While we didn't make it inside (it was closed when we walked by)

The Webster

is near the top of any Miami shopping guide. Known for its cutting-edge fashions and accessories, its the perfect place to pick up something for a night out in Miami.

Books & Books

is a great independent bookstore in the heart of South Beach, the adjacent cafe serves up descent coffee (and the brunch looked good as well) however, like we found in much of Miami Beach, the service was a bit lackluster.
